Soft peaches, sunny yellows, and deep maroons are just a few of the spectacular colors in this blend. Narrow, elongated petals add a whimsical touch to any garden, and with tall, sturdy stems and blooms measuring up to 6" across, these make a truly exceptional cut flower and a great addition to a pollinator garden. Perennial in USDA zones 7—10; in colder climates, at season's end, tubers can be lifted and stored indoors over winter (see inside packet for details). Tubers and flower petals are edible.

Native: Mexico and Central America

Hardiness: Perennial (Tender), often grown as an annual

Plant Dimensions: 3'—4' tall

Variety Information: 5"—6" diameter blooms in varying shades of red, yellow, peach and white with yellow centers

Exposure: Full Sun

Bloom Period: Summer to frost

Attributes: Attracts Pollinators, Cut Flower, Edible Flower

When to Sow Outside: 2 to 4 weeks after your average last frost date.

When to Start Inside: RECOMMENDED. 8 to 10 weeks before your average last frost date. Ideal soil temperature for germination is 65°–70°F. Sow in biodegradable pots; roots are sensitive to disturbance.

Days to Emerge: 5–20 Days

Seed Depth: 1/4''

Seed Spacing: 3 seeds every 18" to 24"

Thinning: When 2 sets of leaves, thin to 1 every 18" to 24"

Harvesting: For longest vase life, harvest flowers in the morning and choose flowers with just the outer 2-3 layers of petals open.
